Necklace with pink and blue faceted glass beads

This handmade necklace combines bright pink and deep cobalt-blue faceted beads. The colours are vibrant without being overwhelming, and the mix of bead shapes and sizes creates a smooth, playful line along the neckline. The beads are strung on pink nylon-coated wire, which makes the colours stand out even more. The silver-coloured clasp with extension chain keeps the necklace light and comfortable to wear.

Every necklace is unique: natural variations in the beads ensure that no two pieces are exactly the same.

Materials & origin

Unless otherwise stated, all materials come from the former family craft shop.

• Faceted glass beads: pink (magenta) and multiple shades of blue, sourced from mixed bead assortments with various tones and sizes.
• Findings: crimp beads, crimp covers, wire guardians and a silver-coloured clasp with extension chain, newly purchased for a neat finish.
• Cord: pink nylon beading wire.

The beads are strung on pink nylon-coated wire, which helps the necklace keep a smooth, even curve.

Size

The necklace is approximately 50 cm long and can be worn slightly longer using the extension chain. The pink wire helps the necklace maintain its shape.

Style & inspiration

The combination of magenta and cobalt blue reflects the colors of my logo and forms a recognizable part of the IJskoningin winter collection. The deep blue tones add a cool, crisp winter feel, while the pink brings a soft warmth. Together, they create a sparkling, almost crystal-like look.

The result is a colorful yet balanced necklace that complements both winter outfits with rich fabrics and lighter, everyday looks.
